AlAnon Family Groups providce support to anyone whose life is, or had been, affected by someone else's drinking, regardless of whether that person is still drinking or not.
Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking. There are no dues or fees for A.A. membership; we are self-supporting through our own contributions. A.A. is not allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organisation or institution; does not wish to engage in any controversy; neither endorses nor opposes any causes. Our primary purpose is to stay sober and help other alcoholics to achieve sobriety.

The Police Powers and Evidence (Bailiwick of Guernsey) Law 2003 requires that an Approriate Adult is called when a juvenile or vulnerable adult is detained by Police of Guernsey Border Agency. An Appropriate Adult can support, advice and assist the detained person, particularly during questioning, observe whether the Police/Guernsey Border Agency are acting properly, fairly and with respect for the rights of the detained person, assist with communication, ensure that the detained person has a full understanding of their rights.
