This scheme is aimed at helping people help themselves. A list of books has been specifically chosen by professionals for their quality as treatments for individuals experiencing difficulties. These books follow an evidence based approach which has been shown to be helpful to those experiencing a wide range of problems. The books can be borrowed free from the Guille-Alles Library.

The Guernsey branch of a national organisation engaged in research into the causes and cure of cancer. The campaign finances at least one third of research into a disease which, statistics show, will affect one third of the population.

Careers Guernsey provides free, impartial career information, advice and guidance to people of all ages in Guernsey and Alderney and operates within the Education Department of the States of Guernsey. We are an all-age service working with schools/Post-16 to support the delivery of their careers programmes and also working with Guernsey Prison, Social Security, Health and Social Services and charities to support young people and adults in the community.

Providing support and relaxation for people caring for sick or disabled loves-ones at home or in long-term residential care

A charity that intendes to support and represent people throughout the Channel Islands who have disfigurements of the face or body from any cause.

Health screening and blood pressure checks.

The Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) is available to young people under the age of 18 years, their families and carers. We provide assessment and treatment for a wide range of problems related to mental health.

The Children’s Disability Service is a multi professional team that includes Paediatrician, nurse, social worker, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, psychologist and specialist speech and language therapists. The team is responsible for providing a range of services to children with complex health and learning needs. The team provide an assessment service to pre-school children with developmental concerns and ongoing support from the Children’s Disability Team for school aged children who have complex needs and assist children and their families to plan for the future.
